Glenn
County’s Public Health Officer, Dr. James Corona,
oversees, coordinates, and integrates the operations,
programs, and services provided by the Public Health
Division of Glenn County Health Services. The goal of
Glenn County Public Health is to reduce the incidence
of communicable diseases, occupational illness and food-borne
illness through proactive education and primary prevention.

Dr.
Corona supervises the medical management of public health
clients and as the Chief Medical Officer for Glenn County,
he is ultimately responsible for disaster response programs,
bioterrorism planning and preparedness and the dissemination
of critical health related information (Public Information
Officer) in the event of an actual infectious disease
outbreak or bioterrorism related incident. Dr. Corona
speaks fluent Spanish and is an important advocate for
the Hispanic population. |
