Siskiyou County Ordinance
Section 32.09 State of Local-Related Emergency; Declaration


The County Health Officer is empowered to proclaim a state of local emergency in Siskiyou County only when s/he finds that conditions of disaster or of extreme peril to the safety of persons within Siskiyou County are caused, or likely to be caused, by such health conditions as epidemic or similar health conditions, which conditions are likely to be beyond the control of the services, personnel, equipment and facilities to Siskiyou County requiring the combined forces of other political subdivisions to combat. Wherever a local health-related emergency is proclaimed by the public Health Officer, the Board of Supervisors shall take action to ratify the proclamation within seven (7) days thereafter, or the proclamation shall have no further force or effect. The Board shall review the need for such emergency in accordance with Government Code Section 8630.
