Around Structures
Have
adequate clearance
around structures
of all flammable
material. Minimum
of 30 feet, (includes
wood piles). Greater
distances may be
required based
on the slope.
- Clear
Roof and Gutters
Clear all
leaves from
gutters and
roof. Trim
back overhanging
branches at
least 10 feet
from chimney.

Roofing
Replace roofing and siding with nonflammable or fire resistive
materials.

Flammable Vegetation
Reduce
or remove flammable
vegetation, including
landscape plants,
and replace with
less flammable

Maintain greenbelt modification around developed areas.

Transport Planning
Have means of transporting livestock or pets readily available.

- Collect
Valuables
Collect valuables, medications and other personal items in one
place and be ready to evacuate if necessary.

Information to Property Owners Association (POA) list
of emergency special needs (blind, deaf,
dependent on life threatening medications, insulin, oxygen,
bedbound, wheelchair bound, mentally or physically challenged)
for assistance during an evacuation.
