In
the fall of 2007 Glenn County
Public Health purchased a 28
foot custom mobile clinic.
The mobile clinic can be used
for a variety of things including:
- Immunization
Clinics
- Blood
Pressure Checks
- Outreach
Point
- Field
Office
- Debriefing
Site
Some of the features that the
mobile clinic is equipped with
include:
- 5.5
KW Onan Generator
- 8
Cu. Ft. 3 Way Refrigerator
- Furnace
- Air
Conditioner
- 21” Awning
- Rear
entrance with Ramp and Double
Glass Doors
- Lockable
storage cabinets
By May of 2008 the entire Public
Health Staff was trained in
setting up the mobile clinic.
This included opening the rear
of the trailer, turning on
the generator, air conditioner,
heater, refrigerator and extending
out the awning.
In August of 2008 the mobile
clinic was utilized at the Public
Health Expo in Hamilton City
where Public Health Nurses were
available to do blood pressure
checks and answer questions from
visitors at the event
In October of 2008 the Mobile
Clinic was taken to two of the
local schools where flu mist
was administered to 1st grade
students.
In the upcoming months Glenn
County Public Health will be
utilizing the mobile clinic at
several events and exercises.
