nation’s
only hospital dedicated
to training healthcare
professionals in disaster
preparedness and response.
In addition, Amy also
attended the Incident
Command System Instructor’s
course at the CDP in
February.
In Amy, Traci, and Heather work
together with other responders in Glenn County and northern
California to plan for and respond to disasters that
impact the public’s health and our healthcare delivery
system. Advanced trainings such as those offered by the
CDP provide our responders with the tools necessary to
better prepare our community for disasters.
The
CDP develops and
delivers federally
funded advanced training
for emergency response
providers, healthcare
professionals, emergency
managers, and other
government officials
from state, local,
and tribal governments
at no charge to the
responder or their
agency. The CDP offers
more than 50 training
courses focusing
on incident management,
mass casualty response,
and emergency response
to a catastrophic
natural disaster
or terrorist act.
Responders
participating in
CDP training gain
critical skills and
confidence to respond
effectively to local
incidents or potential
WMD events.
