| In
an ever changing world, risks considered a remote
possibility, have now become real. Siskiyou County
Public Health is learning and accepting the role
of and the challenges associated with becoming
a First Responder in the event of biological
terrorist activity and to continue to expand
our role in the event of natural or other man
made disaster situations.
As
a county we need to learn to prepare to be
self sufficient for up to 72 hours -
“The
First 72 Is Up To You”.
We cannot depend on initial
outside assistance and
must prepare ourselves
and our families adequately
for all types of emergencies-
both natural and man
made. By preparing ourselves
and assuring the safety
of our families, we will
be more equipped to provide
assistance to others
in our community.
